The use of drug-induced visuals, though unique initially, grows tedious and distracting as the story progresses. These segments could have been trimmed or even omitted without affecting the plot significantly.
Director Karthick Naren, known for his stylish filmmaking, brings some flair to the visuals and action sequences, especially in the reverse fight scene towards the end. However, some stylistic choices feel forced, particularly the excessive use of English dialogues, which appear more as a show-off than a natural part of the film. Additionally, the locations feel overly exotic for a story set around school students, and the distinct Chennai nativity is lost.
The biggest drawback, however, lies in the procedural aspect of the film. The investigation, which should have been the driving force, lacks the depth and excitement to keep the audience invested. The different plot points, while interesting, don’t build up to a satisfying payoff. That said, the climax is a high point—a beautifully concluded twist that adds depth to the story and provides a thoughtful contradiction to earlier events.

Ammu Abhirami plays a pivotal yet small role, but her performance in the film’s crucial scene is empathetic and effective, adding emotional weight when needed. Dushyanth, known for his role in Easan, performs well in the more stoic moments but falters when the film requires dramatic flair.

Cinematographer Tijo Tomy deserves credit for his stunning visuals. The film is visually rich, with crystal-clear night shots and a color palette that maintains a stylish yet moody atmosphere. The cinematography complements the trippy sequences and the film’s darker themes, but at times, it feels overly glossy for a story that could have benefited from a more grounded visual approach.
Editor Sreejith Sarang keeps the film's runtime tight at just over two hours. However, the repetitive nature of the drug-induced portions could have been trimmed to make the film more engaging. While some scenes are well-paced, others feel unnecessarily stretched, losing the film’s initial intrigue.
